Spouse Hunt

Opening Remarks and Statements:
I think the whole "Spouse Hunt" at college is silly. Then again, I think the whole "Only Treat Everyone of the Opposite Sex as a Sibling" at college is silly too. Why should you care? If you spend your whole college life looking for love, you miss out on a ton of other oppurtunities to share with your brothers and sisters in Christ. If you spend your whole college life rejecting and shutting down anyone who expresses interests in you, you could be missing a memo from God. Maybe you are someone who ends up meeting your future spouse at college, like the many who do. People are so scared of being a statistic, that they shy away from any hint of a deeper relationship.

My Life:
In my life, a wise man I know once asked me: "Are you in love with love, or in love with the person?" I honestly have to admit, I have more often been in love with love than in love with the person. I have decided to live by Proverbs 3:5, "Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding..."
It's kinda self-explanatory...

Closing Remarks:
Yes, the God of the universe just happens to still be around, and he does have a plan for your life. No sense messing it up or trying to force him to do what you think is the plan.

Pray.
        Submit a request or two.
                                              Now wait. See what happens.
You never know, you may be on to something.

As for me, I will put on a dark suit and beret, make some coffee, write a poem, and dream.
No sense wasting what romanticism I have now.

Epilogue:
I feel in saying this I just poured blood in the water.  If you say this to the right people, the Moody sharks will come, ready to tear into you and anyone else who poses a less conservative opinion than the general, "religious" population.

Oh well.
